Description
Our client is a locally owned and operated multi-trade company that provides services for the plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and electrical fields. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer the Service Sales Account Rep will play a key role selling primarily commercial full service mechanical maintenance agreements while providing excellent customer service to existing customers in the territory. This individual is expected to exceed performance standards and sales quotas set by the immediate supervisor. The successful candidate will identify, develop and close new business for the company through various methods of cold calling, networking and other typical forms of new business development. The successful candidate may also be asked to assist in the organization and sale of residential maintenance agreements, if the company determines to provide this service to the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, sell and negotiate full mechanical service, commercial service and maintenance contracts
- Prepare and present effective sales proposals to new and existing customers that develop profitable results
- Estimate, generate proposals and sell additional maintenance services to assigned accounts
- Participate in department meetings and submit reports (expense reports, sales reports, working agreements) in a timely manner
- Promote and sell, if necessary, all services the company offers to customers
- Develop positive rapport with customers and co-workers that builds constructive and effective relationships
- Develop and maintain business plans and budgets
- Schedule on-site customer service meetings to ensure customer satisfaction
- Work closely with the Service Manager to schedule maintenance and identify cost matrix for new business
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of mechanical systems, service industry and customer service
- At least 3-5 years of experience selling mechanical systems and/or field experience in HVAC and plumbing
- A technical diploma or journeyman ticket preferred
- Proven ability to develop strategies to identify, pursue and capture new business
- Desire to offer exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team-must be a self starter
- Ability to interact with customers, service technicians, management and office personnel that builds constructive and effective relationships
